Movement & Type
Although these letters are static they suggest such movement and vibrancy. Since I am trying to define Melbourne's culture in a typeface, I need to think of a technique that suggests the multiple and varied parts to this culture. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can suggest such variety in a typeface.

Maybe you could design the typeface around those things as steve said. Then you could bring it alive in a promo piece for it like an animation or poster or website or something. Encourage people to use it in a way that adds vibrancy and movement as well. I don't know... are you doing promo/other stuff for the typeface after it's done?
